Dear Jennifer, Paul and other close relatives

I don't know anyone else in our field who was so loved and admired as your father. The thought of never seeing and talking with him makes me very sad. All the best to both of you.

Dear Becker Family,

I will never forget visiting Mr. Becker at the Pickerel cottage with my father. We went to look at a violin to purchase. He and my dad talked about fishing as we have a cottage nearby in Wisconsin. A great loss to your family, and a great loss to the luthier world.

With Sympathy,

Such an expert craftsman; so widely respected, revered, trusted, admired and loved.
I treasure the time I was able to spend alongside Carl at his bench and all he imparted to me.
Aside from his impeccable workmanship with which he set the bar extraordinarily high, I will remember Carl for his warm cordial manner, patience, unwavering precision, endearing personality, resonant laugh and the wonderful visits we had.
The great joy I had in knowing Carl is matched by the deep sorrow I feel over this loss; without him the world feels emptier. I very much looked forward to seeing Carl and will miss him immensely.
I am sending my very deepest heartfelt sympathy and love to Paul, Jenny and all dear family members.

My heart, thoughts and prayers are with you.

 My love,
I've gone to a place
Where sounds never meet.
Where sunlight and moonbeams
Make twilight complete.

Come, to the edge
Where the sound meets the shore
My song, a vessel;
Your fiddle an oar.
